Shijin Ramesh
Ex-Ed Tech Founder | Product Manager | Operations & Business Management | Educator
My name is Shijin Ramesh, a Product Manager with 11+ years of experience across technology, education and business. I built and scaled my own EdTech platform from zero, owning product decisions end to end.
From defining what to build to improving it using user feedback and data, I have worked across product design, growth, pricing and operations.
Today, I use data and AI tools like SQL, Python and Power BI to support better product decisions.
I focus on solving real problems, building with clarity and creating meaningful impact for users and the business.
IDALS was a subscription-based online learning platform built to solve a core problem in remote dance education: helping learners practice effectively without physical studios. The key product differentiator was a custom video player designed specifically for skill-based learning. It offered features such as front view, back view, mirror view, speed control, section-based navigation, and self-view. Each feature was built to address real learning challenges observed through user feedback and behavior.
The platform was launched on 2 November 2020 and operated until 31 August 2025. I owned the product end to end, including product design, feature planning, execution, analytics, marketing, and operations, while working with a small team of three. Over its lifecycle, the platform scaled to more than 14,000 users and generated over ₹65 lakhs in revenue across online and offline offerings, even during the post-COVID slowdown. Product decisions were driven by data, continuous user feedback, and clear business outcomes, with a strong focus on engagement, retention, and sustainable growth.
